Judith Aller conducting in Finland

FULLERTON FRIENDS OF MUSIC

Los Angeles, CA – November 18, 2008 – Renowned master musician and virtuosoviolinist JUDITH ALLER will be performing a free concert for FULLERTON FRIENDS OF MUSIC on December 7, 2008 at 3:30 PM at the Performing Arts Center; Sunny Hills High School; 1801 Warburton Way; Fullerton, California. She will be accompanied on piano by Valeria Morgovskaya. ALLER was raised in Hollywood’s Golden Era by her father, Victor Aller, a virtuoso pianist for many Hollywood studios, and was a prodigy of Jascha Heifetz. She spent many years abroad touring as a soloist for the Finnish Radio Symphony and taught at the Sibelius Academy of Music. Her recording of the Corelli “La Folia Variations” brought a rare, interpretive vision to the rapidly vanishing romantic-expressionist tradition. Aller brings something truly magical to her performances. She has been highly praised and defined as “a living cultural emissary” for her abilities to translate the old masters’ original tone and depth into something so rare it takes one’s breath away. ALLER will play the Beethoven “Kreutzer” Sonata; Strauss E Flat Sonata; Sarasate Ziguenerweisen (Gypsy Airs); the Schubert Impromptu Op. 90 and a secret gem, a rarely performed masterpiece by Joseph Achron. People have come backstage after her performances, weeping, to tell her that their lives have been changed for having heard her play. This is a magic you won’t want to miss.
